How does the email update process work?
Every client gets a dedicated email address tied to their site. When you need something changed — updated hours, a new photo, revised pricing, a different phone number — you send an email describing what you want in plain language. We read it, make the change, and push it live. Most routine updates are done within minutes during business hours.
What kinds of changes can I request?
Text edits, photo swaps, adding or removing services, contact info updates, new sections, minor layout adjustments — anything you’d normally log into a CMS to do. For larger changes like adding a new page or a significant redesign, we’ll scope it and let you know if it falls outside your monthly plan.
How fast are updates made?
Most routine changes (text, photos, contact info) go live within minutes during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm ET). Larger requests take longer and we’ll give you an estimate.
What’s included in the $1,600 setup?
Everything you need to launch: custom design, copywriting (or working with content you provide), photography sourcing, mobile optimization, ADA accessibility compliance, domain setup, and deployment. You approve the design before anything goes live.
What does the $160/month cover?
Hosting on Cloudflare’s global network, ongoing email-based updates, technical maintenance, security monitoring, and support. There are no separate hosting bills or plugin fees.
Do I own my website?
Yes. The content — your text, photos, and brand — belongs to you. If you ever leave, we’ll provide your files. Because sites are built on a static architecture rather than a proprietary platform, there’s no lock-in to a tool only we can access.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There’s no long-term contract on the monthly plan. You can cancel with 30 days notice.
Do you handle the domain name?
We can handle domain registration and DNS setup for you, or work with a domain you already own. Either way, we configure everything — you don’t need to touch DNS records.
Is the site mobile-friendly?
Every site we build is fully responsive and tested on phones and tablets before launch. Mobile is not an afterthought; it’s part of the base build.
Is the site ADA / WCAG 2.1 compliant?
Yes. Every flux.cc site meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards through our compliance practice, ADA Web Work. This is built in from the start, not added later.
What about SEO?
Every site ships with clean HTML structure, proper heading hierarchy, meta titles and descriptions, a sitemap, schema markup, and fast load times on Cloudflare’s edge network. We don’t do ongoing SEO campaigns, but the technical foundation is solid.
What platform do you use?
We build with Astro, a modern static site generator. Sites are deployed to Cloudflare Pages. There’s no database, no WordPress, no plugins — just fast, secure static files served from the edge.
Can I add e-commerce?
Not directly. flux.cc is built for informational business sites, not online stores. That said, if you already use Square for payments, we can link your site directly to your Square Online storefront. Customers click through to browse and buy, and you get two purpose-built tools working together instead of one platform trying to do everything.
Do you work with existing websites?
We build new sites from the ground up. If you have an existing site, we’ll use your content and branding as a starting point, but the new site will be a fresh build.
